Tile has always been a go-to for Arizona homes, but in Prescott, it’s becoming an art form. At Miele Flooring, we’ve seen homeowners in Prescott shift toward creative tile designs that reflect the area’s stunning natural surroundings and rustic-meets-modern aesthetic.
Here’s a look at the tile trends making waves in Prescott right now.
Natural Textures Meet the High Desert
Prescott homeowners are gravitating toward tile that echoes the textures found in the desert. Think slate, travertine, and limestone-inspired tiles that bring an organic, earthy feel to homes. These natural textures work beautifully in homes perched near Granite Mountain or tucked away in the pines.
Paired with wood accents and muted desert tones like sage green or sandstone, these tiles create spaces that feel connected to Prescott’s rugged beauty.
Oversized, Seamless Looks
In open-concept homes common to Prescott Valley and surrounding areas, large-format porcelain tiles are a popular choice. These tiles reduce grout lines, giving floors a smooth, uninterrupted appearance that makes rooms feel larger and more modern.
We’ve worked with homeowners to install large-format tiles in living areas, kitchens, and even outdoor patios — blending indoor and outdoor spaces in true Arizona style.
Patterned Tiles for Bold Statements
From retro-style encaustic tiles in Old Town homes to Mediterranean-inspired patterns for modern ranches, patterned tiles are making a major comeback. Homeowners love using patterned tiles for:
-
Accent walls in bathrooms
-
Statement floors in entryways
-
Unique kitchen backsplashes
In Prescott’s artistic communities, patterned tile adds flair and personality to remodeling projects, while still respecting the local design sensibility.
Outdoor Tile: Extending the Living Space
Prescott’s mild climate encourages outdoor living year-round. At Miele Flooring, we help homeowners extend their living spaces by installing weather-resistant tile on patios, walkways, and outdoor kitchens.
Porcelain and stone-look tiles create inviting, low-maintenance outdoor areas perfect for Prescott’s al fresco lifestyle.
